Interview with David Loo, CEO and Founder of Perspectium

Criteria Corporation Gets $56M For Employment Analytics
Los Angeles-based Criteria Corp, a developer of a software-as-a-service employment analytics and pre-employment testing platform, said today that it has raised $56M in a strategic investment round, from private equity investor Sumeru Equity Partners. According to Criteria Corp., the majority funding round will go towards product innovation and growth. As part of the majority funding, Sumeru Equity Partners has appointed Jason Babcoke, John Brennan, and Kevin Cheng to Criteria Corporation's board (More info...)

Cornerstone OnDemand Names Chief Marketing Officer
Santa Monica-base Cornerstone OnDemand said late Thursday that it has named a Heidi Spirgi as the company's new Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer, to head up the firm's marketing functions. Spirgi was most recently Senior Vice President (SVP) of Product and Services for The Marcus Buckingham Company (acquired by ADP), and was the co-founder of a strategic consulting firm, Knowledge Infusion, which was acquired in 2012 by Appirio. LiveXLive Rolls New Music Streaming App
West Hollywood-based LiveXLive Media, which both produces live music content as well as owns the Slacker music streaming app, has rolled out a new, combined app which combines both livestreaming of music festivals, as well as ther personalized radio stations provided by Slacker. According to LiveXLive, the new, subscription app provides both Slacker's audio and personalization with live music event access. Citadel Defense Wins U.S Government Customer
San Diego-based Citadel Defense, a developer of counter-drone technology, says that it has signed up an un-named, classified U.S. government customer, which is using its technology to prevent drone attacks in "highly sensitive areas". According to Citadel Defense, its systems are specifically being used to prevent weaponized drone attacks. The size of the deal was not announced.
