CareerArc Grows In LA, Names New VPs
Burbank-based CareerArc, which develops social recruiting and outplacement
technology and services, says it is in the midst of a big expansion in Los Angeles, and has added about 20 percent to its headcount over the last three months. Glofox Picks Up $10M For Fitness Studio Management Tools
Los Angeles- and Dublin, Ireland-based Glofox, which develops a cloud-based software to help fitness studio owners manage their businesses, has raised $10M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by Octopus Ventures, and also included Partech Ventures, Notion Capital, and Tribal VC. Halla Finds $1.4M For Online Grocery Personalization
A brand new, Los Angeles-based artificial intelligence startup, Halla, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $1.4M in its seed funding round, to help it expand its development of personalization technology for online grocers. According to Halla, the funding was led by E&A Venture Capital, an early stage food industry investor, and also included SOSV. Cryoport Acquires Cryogene
Irvine-based life sciences service provider Cryoport announced on Tuesday that it has acquired Cryogene Partners, the operator of a 21,000 square foot biostorage facility, which specializes in the secure storage of biological specimens, materials and samples. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Cryogene is based in Houston, Texas.
