Green Dot Powers Mobile Banking For Stash
Monrovia, California-based Green Dot, the prepaid card and mobile banking giant, is powering the new banking offerings for mobile investing and financial app startup Stash. Stash, based in New York, said that it will start offering up mobile-based banking accounts from Green Dot, which includes a debit account, access to Green Dot's network of ATMs, as well as other features. Zillow Launches Home Buying Service In Inland Empire
Online real estate site Zillow is expanding its home buying service, Zillow Offers, into the Inland Empire this week, saying that it will start providing all-cash offers to people looking to sell their homes, condos, and townhomes in the area, as it expands its service nationwide. The service lets people bypass listing their homes for sale, instead letting homeowners submit their property information to Zillow for a near instant offer on their homes. Impact Collects $75M In Investment Round
Santa Barbara-based Impact, which develops software used for partnership automation, said this morning that it has raised $75M in an investment round. The funding round was led by Providence Strategic Growth (PSG), the growth equity affiliate of Providence Equity Partners, and also included Silversmith Capital Partners, an existing investor. Hulu, Spotify Bundle Services For Just $9.99 A Month
Los Angeles-based streaming television provider Hulu, and streaming music provider Spotify have launched a new effort, which bundles both services together for just $9.99 a month, the two announced today. According to the two, it will offer up Hulu with all Spotify Premium accounts, giving access to Spotify's music, podcasts, and Hulu's TV and movies, all in a single bundle. AONdevices Launches AI Systems-on-a-Chip Effort
A new, Irvine-based startup AONdevices--based in the EvoNexus incubator--said this morning that it has launched its company, which is developing artificial intelligence (AI) systems-on-a-chip (SoC) technology to enable embedding of voice control technology in devices like smartphones and wireless headsets. Chipotle Launches Rewards Program, To Give Up To $250,000 To Venmo Users
Newport Beach-based restaurant chain Chipotle Mexican Grill has launched a new rewards program today, and says it is giving away up to a quarter million dollars to users of Venmo as part of its launch. Soylent Names Innovation VP
Los Angeles-based Soylent Nutrition, which develops drinks, powders, and other nutrition products intended to replace or supplement the need to eat meals, has named Julie Daoust as its new Vice President of Product Development and Innovation, the company said late Monday.
